Instructor – Alexander Adamov, Ph.D., the head of the research laboratory called NioGuard Security Lab (https://www.nioguard.com/) with 15-year experience in the analysis of cyberattacks. He has taught cyber security at Kharkiv National University of Radio Electronics in Ukraine and Blekinge Institute of Technology in Sweden and conducts scientific activities in the areas of malware analysis and development of methods for cyber threats detection using AI and ML. He is a co-author of the EU Master’s Program in Cyber Security within ENGENSEC project. In cooperation with OSCE, he has given the training in Reverse Engineering of Cyberattacks to the Cyberpolice of Ukraine. Alexander has spoken at various security conferences and workshops such as International Virus Bulletin Conference, Virus Analyst Summit, OpenStack Summit, OWASP, HackIT, UISGCON, and BSides.

The courses will start on October 25, 2021.

On April 20-22 at the Kharkiv National University of Radio Electronics, in a distance format, the 25th International Youth Forum “Radio Electronics and Youth in the XXI Century” was held. Within the framework of the forum, an exhibition of technical creativity of youth was held (on-line).

On March 9, 2021, a presentation of the German company Cloudwharf took place at the Design Automation department. The students were addressed by the director and founder of the company, Dr.-Ing. Konstantin Teplinsky, and Salesforce platform developer Daniil Kovalenko. Cloudwharf managers acquainted students with the history of foundation, directions and peculiarities of the company’s work, vacancies, prospects for cooperation, and opening an office in Kharkov.

At the Design Automation Department a round table was held between members of the project group to develop an educational and scientific training program for the third scientific and educational level of higher education in the specialty 123 – computer engineering, postgraduate students and stakeholders. The structure of the program, mandatory and optional components and proposals for the content of disciplines related to modern trends in the development of the professional field were discussed. Based on the results of the round table, the developers of the educational and scientific program took into account all constructive proposals from graduate students of specialty 123 – computer engineering and stakeholders.
