Design Automation Department of NURE Wins Grand Prix at International Youth Forum!

At the 29th International Youth Forum “RADIOELECTRONICS AND YOUTH IN THE XXI CENTURY,” held from April 16-19, 2025, a youth technical creativity exhibition took place, where the Design Automation Department of KhNURE’s development won the Grand Prix.

The development team, consisting of Ivan Hahanov, Georgy Kulak, Andriy Voronov, Oleg Demchenko, Natalia Maksimova, and Veronika Ponomaryova, was awarded for their innovative high-tech development – the cloud service MOdeling for Simulation (MOSI). The development was presented in the category “Software and Hardware Development, Devices and Appliances.”

The cloud services Modeling for Simulation (MOSI) include the following components:

  • Synthesis of a test map based on the logic vector of functionality;
  • Synthesis of a logic vector of a digital circuit, defined by logic vectors of elements;
  • Modeling of correct behavior of a logic circuit based on a vector representation of logic elements;
  • Modeling of faults, as addresses, of logic circuits based on deductive vectors of logic elements;
  • Fault finding in logic functionality using its test map;
  • GUI for inputting a logic circuit, where elements are represented by logic vectors.

All solutions for the MOSI system modeling mechanisms are original and have been tested at IEEE conferences. The relevance of creating the MOSI system as a cloud service lies in the economic solution of digital project verification tasks in terms of resource savings – energy (minimum 38%) and time (minimum by an order of magnitude), as well as providing access to users from anywhere in the world, which is an example of mass computing of the future. More efficient use of resources, reduction of waste and reduction of negative impact on the environment contributes to the preservation of the planet’s ecology, which is in line with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG 12 – Responsible consumption and production, SDG 9 – Industry, innovation and infrastructure).

The project’s scientific supervisor is Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor of the Design Automation Department of KhNURE, Volodymyr Ivanovych Hahanov.

This achievement is a recognition of the high level of scientific and technical creativity of the employees of the Design Automation Department of KhNURE and a significant contribution of the university to the development of innovative technologies.
