On August 31, Kharkiv National University of Radio Electronics (NURE) opened its doors to a new generation of higher education students. The festive day began with a large-scale university-wide celebration, joined by Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov, who offered sincere words of support and inspiration to the youth.

The staff of the Department of Design Automation of Computing Equipment at NURE deeply regret to announce that on August 30, 2026, in his 74th year of life, following a severe illness, an outstanding scientist, longtime Dean of the Faculty of Computer Engineering and Control at NURE, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor Volodymyr Ivanovych Khakhanov passed away.

On 30 August 2026, at the age of 73, Volodymyr Hahanov passed away – Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor of the Design Automation Department, renowned scientist and educator, long-standing Dean of the Faculty of Computer Engineering and Control, IEEE Senior Member.
