NURE Hosted Open House Day: Future Applicants Immersed in the World of Technology and Innovation

Kharkiv, June 7, 2025 – Today, Kharkiv National University of Radioelectronics (NURE) hospitably opened its doors to hundreds of dreamers aspiring to link their future with technology, IT, and robotics. The event, held in the safe and open space of KhNATOB / LOFT, provided a unique opportunity to see the most innovative university from the inside.

During the Open House Day, NURE presented 7 faculty locations, allowing each applicant to choose their direction and be among the first to learn about everything. Visitors had the chance to get acquainted with the activities of the Brain Systems Center, learn about signals, protection, and “spy gadgets”, as well as networks that connect the world. Directions were presented that allow one to “hack reality”, understand the “magic” of mathematics and technologies, and technologies that help life. Special attention was drawn to demonstrations related to movement, control, and smart machines.

Among the active participants and university representatives was I.V. Filippenko, Associate Professor of the Design Automation Department, who joined the interactive communication with prospective students, answering their questions and sharing expert experience in the field.

In addition to the informational locations, guests were treated to exciting contests, gifts, and surprises, guaranteeing not only new knowledge but also unforgettable emotions. The Open House Day was an excellent opportunity for meetings with the admissions committee, lecturers, students, robots, and… possibly, their own future.

“This is a chance not only to learn about NURE – it’s a chance to become part of its community,” the organizers noted.

By organizing the Open House Day, the university not only attracts future students but also fulfills an important social mission, contributing to the implementation of the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs):

  • SDG 4: Quality Education. NURE provides equal access to quality education and lifelong learning opportunities for all, fostering qualified personnel in the IT and robotics fields, which is critically important for the country’s economic and social progress.
  • SDG 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth. By ensuring the training of highly qualified specialists in in-demand fields, the university contributes to sustainable, inclusive, and sustained economic growth, full and productive employment, and decent work for all.
  • SDG 9: Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure. By focusing on technology, IT, and robotics, KhNURE is a driver of innovation and industrial development, supporting the construction of resilient infrastructure and promoting inclusive and sustainable industrialization.

So, thanks to their flexibility, accessibility, and ability to engage people in active participation, open house days are a valuable tool for promoting the Sustainable Development Goals at the community level.
