First Day of Bachelor Thesis Defenses at the Design Automation Department (DAD): Bright Beginnings 12.06.2025!
On June 12, 2025, the period of qualification work defenses for students of the first (bachelor’s) level of higher education in specialty 123 “Computer Engineering” began at the Design Automation Department (DAD) of NURE. From the very first day, the committee and attendees were impressed by the high level of preparation and originality of the presented projects.
Among the works presented on the first day, we would especially like to highlight the following:
- Chaika Vladyslava Yevheniyivna, KIUKI-21-7 group. Project: “Arduino-Based Smart Clock.” The qualification work is dedicated to the development of a hardware-software complex, an “Arduino-Based Smart Clock.” The project involves creating a device that displays accurate time and offers extended functionality, including an alarm clock, timer, environmental parameter measurement (temperature), wireless phone charging, and user interaction via Bluetooth. The development encompasses an analysis of the subject area, hardware design (using Arduino Uno, RTC DS3231SN module, HC-06 Bluetooth module), creation of embedded software, and development of a mobile application.
- Kosenko Sviatoslav Oleksandrovych, KIUKI-21-7 group. Project: “Position estimation system based on inertial sensor.” The qualification work is dedicated to the creation of a software-hardware complex for a position estimation system using an inertial sensor based on Arduino. The goal of the work was to develop a module circuit, select and justify its components, write and test the software, and manufacture and test a prototype of the system.
This activity of the Design Automation Department (DAD) is directly related to the UN Sustainable Development Goal “Quality Education.”
