Associate Professor Inna Viktorivna Filippenko of the Design Automation Department leads the Computer Club on Microcontrollers, which was established in 2016. Participants acquire knowledge and skills in robotics, the creation of smart homes and their components, the Internet of Things, and sensors. Club members annually participate in youth creativity exhibitions, winning prizes.

World Day for Safety and Health at Work is observed annually on April 28th. It aims to prevent occupational accidents and diseases globally. New and emerging occupational risks can arise from technical innovations, social, or organizational transformations. This year’s campaign focuses on new approaches to occupational safety and health, particularly the role of artificial intelligence and digitalization in the workplace. From April 16 to 19, 2025, the 29th International Youth Forum “Radioelectronics and Youth in the XXI Century” was successfully held at Kharkiv National University of Radioelectronics. This important scientific event served as a platform for presenting innovative ideas and exchanging experiences among young researchers.

International Girls in ICT Day is celebrated on the fourth Thursday of April. This day aims to encourage girls and young women to pursue careers in information and communication technologies. In 2025, it falls on April 24.

Professor of the Design Automation Department, Iryna Vitaliivna Hahanova, leads the scientific club for the development of digital systems. Here, students combine theory and practice in creating models using modern hardware description languages such as VHDL, Verilog, and SystemVerilog. Our members immerse themselves in the world of digital electronics, mastering synthesized subsets of languages and applying their knowledge to develop models ready for implementation on FPGA and CPLD programmable logic chips.

Professor of the Design Automation Department Hahanov V.I. participated as an invited expert in the “International Workshop on Frontier Advances in Semiconductor Materials, Devices, Circuits, Design and Test Automation,” held on April 14-15, 2025, at Xidian University, Xi’an, China, with a plenary report on “Vector-logic design and test computing,” dedicated to modeling for simulation, testing, and diagnostics of faults as addresses for functional verification of digital designs.

Volodymyr Obrizan, PhD candidate at the APOT department, has translated the tutorial “Functional Programming in Python” by Andrew M. Kuchling into Ukrainian and enhanced it with interactive code examples and knowledge-check tests.

The Design Automation Department warmly congratulates Daria Rakhlis on the successful completion of the international professional development program for scientific, academic, and higher education applicants on the topic “INNOVATIVE DIGITAL TOOLS FOR DISTANCE LEARNING: IN THE PREPARATION OF EDUCATION APPLICANTS IN THE COUNTRIES OF THE EUROPEAN UNION AND UKRAINE.”
