NURE Team Takes 4th Place in Inter-University Basketball Competition
Kharkiv, May 22, 2025 – On May 20-21, 2025, exciting basketball competitions among higher education institutions took place, with 10 teams participating. The national team of Kharkiv National University of Radioelectronics (NURE) demonstrated a high level of preparation and an unyielding fighting spirit.
In their first match, the NURE team secured a confident victory over the team from V.N. Karazin Kharkiv National University, allowing them to advance to the tournament semifinals.
The semifinal game proved to be extremely intense and spectacular. In a challenging match against the strong “POLYTECHNIC” team, only one point separated our athletes from reaching the final. Despite the frustrating loss, the guys showed true character and a will to win.
The third game, played on the same day against Yaroslav Mudryi National Law University, became a true test of endurance. Despite the accumulated fatigue, the NURE players fought for every ball until the final whistle, demonstrating an example of sporting tenacity.
According to the tournament results, the NURE national team took an honorable 4th place.
Bohdan Yatsenko, a student of the Design Automation Department, group KIUKI-23-6, was particularly distinguished and recognized as the team’s best player. His leadership qualities and skill on the court played a key role in the team’s performance.
