Important News for KhNURE PhD Students!

Kharkiv National University of Radio Electronics (KhNURE) is pleased to announce the official recognition of its “Computer Engineering” PhD program in the province of Ontario, Canada. This will allow Canadian citizens enrolled in this program at KhNURE to receive financial assistance through the Ontario Student Assistance Program (OSAP), which significantly expands opportunities for international cooperation and education.

Details of the Recognition

According to an official letter from the Ministry of Colleges and Universities of Ontario, KhNURE’s “Computer Engineering” PhD program has been approved for the 2024-2025 academic year. This decision grants Canadian PhD students studying at KhNURE the right to receive the Canada portion of the “Canada-Ontario” Integrated Student Loan.

The official program code in the OSAP system (the student loans and officially recognized programs registry in Ontario) is QWSN. The recognition is valid from August 1, 2024, to July 31, 2025, and will be reviewed annually. This event is a significant step for developing international academic ties and confirms the high level of the university’s educational programs.

This is an important contribution to achieving the UN Sustainable Development Goals. Specifically, it promotes “Quality Education” (SDG 4) by providing students with the opportunity to receive a recognized international education, as well as “Decent Work and Economic Growth” (SDG 8), as it contributes to the training of highly qualified IT specialists.
