ANNUAL INTERNATIONAL MICROELECTRONICS OLYMPIAD OF ARMENIA
Ms student of Design Automation Department Ivan Semenenko took 7th place among 28 participants at Annual International Microelectronics Olympiad, which has been held in Yerevan, 8-10 Desember 2020. Every year Olympiad unites participants from 10-20 countries.
Synopsys Inc. is the General Organizer of the Annual International Microelectronics Olympiad of Armenia, a global, knowledge-based contest that highlights the world’s brightest engineering students under the age of 30 and active in the field of microelectronics.
The Olympiad this year attracted 370 Contestants from 10 countries, including 44 from Armenia.
The 1st stage of the 15th Microelectronics Olympiad of Armenia attracted 370 contestants from 10 countries: Armenia, Argentina, Brazil, Egypt, Peru, Russia, Serbia, UAE, Ukraine, Vietnam. Armenian team was represented by 44 students. 28 contestants were selected to take part in the final stage. The final stage of the Olympiad took place online via Zoom platform on December 8, 2020.
Goals of the Olympiad:
Stimulate further development of microelectronics in Armenia and in the participant countries
Recognize and inspire young, talented engineers
Increase interest in microelectronics among young specialists
Understand the level of knowledge in the field of microelectronics among young specialists in participating countries in order to make necessary adjustments to educational programs
Create a community of young specialists involved in microelectronics
