Preferential Admission for Veterans at NURE in 2026
Kharkiv National University of Radio Electronics (NURE) continues to support our heroes by offering preferential admission conditions in 2026 for obtaining quality higher education.
Simplified Admission Conditions
The university has provided special formats for entrance exams:
- For Bachelor’s degree admission, combatants undergo an interview instead of taking the National Multi-subject Test (NMT).
- For Master’s degree admission, an interview in a foreign language is provided instead of the Unified Entrance Exam (ЄВІ).
- Master’s applicants also take a professional exam directly at the university, which replaces the Unified Professional Entrance Examination (ЄФВВ).
Required Documents and the Possibility of Studying During Service
The right to preferential admission is confirmed by a war invalid certificate, a combatant certificate, or a certificate of direct participation in hostilities.
Military personnel have the opportunity to study without interrupting their military service if they obtain the appropriate permission from their military command. To do this, the following must be submitted to the admissions committee:
- A certified extract or copy of the military unit commander’s order granting permission to study.
- Or a registered letter on the official letterhead of the military unit specifying the number and date of the relevant order.
Financial Support and Tuition Compensation
Veterans planning to enroll on a contract basis can expect financial assistance:
- Within the framework of the regional program for 2024–2028, defenders who are residents of the Kharkiv region can receive targeted cash assistance for partial compensation of tuition fees.
- The State Employment Service also provides training vouchers to obtain a new profession or specialty. This right is granted to demobilized veterans, persons with disabilities, those discharged from military service, and persons who were wounded as a result of military aggression.
Stages of the Admission Campaign
The admission process will consist of the following key steps:
- Start of applicant’s personal cabinet registration: from July 1.
- Registration of applications for participation in interviews.
- Interviews.
- Submission of the application for admission.
- Fulfillment of enrollment requirements.
- Issuance of the enrollment order.
