Design Automation Departmen at TechFest NURE: touching the future!

Associate Professor of the Design Automation Departmen Filippenko I.V. together with graduate student Kornienko Valentyn took an active part in the TechFest NURE festival “Touch the Future”.

The event was organized with the support of regular partners of NURE: Kharkiv IT Cluster, SoftServe Ukraine, the Department of Education of the Novobavarskyi District Administration of Kharkiv, as well as the student television of NURE.

During the festival, Kharkiv schoolchildren were presented with the author’s developments in robot control – automotive robots. The participants of the event had the opportunity to get to know innovations and gain useful knowledge about modern technologies.

Science, technology and innovation play a crucial role in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Innovations can have a significant impact on the costs of progress by providing opportunities to develop new solutions, approaches, and environmental measures that can contribute to sustainable development.

Sustainable transportation: development of electric vehicles, improvement of public transportation systems, promotion of alternative fuels and mobile solutions to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and air pollution. The implementation of eco-projects and the development of CASE (Connected, Autonomous, Shared & Services, Electric) technologies is leading to an increase in corporate spending on research and development. Statistical data from the European Automobile Manufacturers’ Association (ACEA), the International Energy Agency (IEA), the consulting company LMC Automotive, the EV-volumes.com portal, and the official websites of automotive corporations show that the world’s leading automakers are striving to link their activities to the achievement of the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

Get involved in your activities to achieve the UN SDGs!
